Eucalyptus productive chain
The Northeast already has 12% of the share of eucalyptus planted in Brazil and Alagoas has more than 100,000 hectares available for planting.
According to a study by the University of Viçosa (MG), the perspective of annual eucalyptus productivity in the state of Alagoas is 50 m³ / ha, higher than the Brazilian average.
Alagoas presents a great potential to develop the productive chain of eucalyptus turned to the manufacture of wood panels, destined to the production of furniture.
The growing demand for furniture in the Northeast, above the national average, and its high consumption potential confirm the strengthening of this chain.
The multinational Duratex confirms this trend, with its installation in the state, with an industry for the manufacture of panels in MDF and MDP.
